A frank conversation about what doing nothing costs.
Agitation drives staff burnout, turnover, and family attrition. There’s now a non-drug, non-invasive approach with a completed Phase 1 study behind it — and a free book that lays out the evidence honestly.
You already know what agitation costs a unit — in emotional exhaustion, in staff who leave, in families who quietly start touring other facilities. When one resident is calmer, the whole floor changes. Staff get to do the work that brought them to this field. Families stay longer than they planned, and leave feeling something other than sadness. That ripple effect is the real business case.
What’s inside the book
A New Way to Create Clarity, Calm, and Connection in Assisted Living — by Mark L. Fox · Founder & Inventor, Resona Health
The completed Phase 1 study, presented honestly: 41 participants, all improved, no regressions, no adverse effects
The ripple effect — how one calmer resident changes staff retention and family satisfaction
What it costs, how it fits an existing routine, and the questions directors actually ask (Appendix B)
The 30–45 day pilot program: baseline and end PROMIS assessments, plus an outcome summary report
What this book will never claim.
It will not tell you this is a cure for Alzheimer’s or dementia — because it isn’t, and the author says so on the first pages. The losses cognitive decline causes are real. What the book argues is more modest, and more useful: that the people living with those losses have more good moments available to them than current care supports, and that safe, practical, evidence-backed tools now exist to help. You’re invited to evaluate the case yourself.
